The Society held a programme on “Impact of Climate Change on Landslide Dynamics” at the Department of Biotechnology, Kumaun University, Bhimtal Campus.
Speakers examined how shifting rainfall patterns and extreme weather events are influencing slope stability and the frequency of landslides across the Himalaya, and what this means for hazard assessment and mitigation. The programme was attended by 54 participants.
