The Society organised a National Workshop on Natural Hazards in Himalaya at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee.
The workshop covered the assessment, monitoring and management of Himalayan natural hazards — landslides, earthquakes, flash floods and slope failures — and drew researchers, engineers, students and practitioners. It was attended by 126 participants, the largest gathering in the series.
